Not everything will be that easy
A 6–2 6–1 win for Jodar against Carabelli a few days ago in Marrakech; I doubt it will be the same tomorrow
Why? Because Carabelli was really tired after his first rounds and when he no longer feels like fighting, he just completely lets go. He’ll be in much better shape this time and ready to battle for longer! The conditions are a bit different too, Marrakech is faster than Barcelona which benefited Jodar and his hitting power. The Spaniard is still super dangerous this week, watch out, but I’m just saying he’s going to have to work a bit more. Carabelli has just beaten Khacha without giving away a single point and being perfect on his service games, he’s coming in confident.
Jodar crushed Munar without showing the slightest sign of pressure or apprehension, his title in Marrakech boosts his natural confidence, he plays a high-risk game but everything’s going in right now so he’s going even harder. He’s a tough profile to lay when he’s in a good spell because matches almost only depend on him, he puts insane pressure on return and serves very well, and with the crowd’s support on top of that he’ll be hard to beat this week.
The match-up stays the same with an offensive Jodar and a Carabelli who will try to resist as much as he can, I’m afraid the Spaniard might be too on fire for Carabelli, who mentally can quickly admit defeat..
