Hi earthlings
I’m already relishing this match. Is Loré ready enough to take on the challenge?
Loré came close to losing that first set against Cerundolo. And then, at the end of the second set, he started showing strange signs, like pain or a cramp around the thigh/hip area. Cerundolo saw it, tightened up, and lost his service game, then the match. Not very reassuring...
On Casper’s side, there’s still that little dip in his matches, but apart from that, it really looks like our Norwegian friend might be stepping up a level.
In terms of match-up, there’s obviously a main axis: hammering big forehand shots into Musetti’s backhand. Casper can even do it with his own backhand. By the way, Musetti’s only win out of their three matches came on indoor hard. On slow clay with a high bounce, we know who that favors the most... And then there’s the physical side I was talking about at the beginning.
All in all, I’m quickly going to go check Casper’s odds...
