A match that’s played with fists?

I can totally see both of them getting heated, they share one brain between the two of them!

This isn’t exactly a match that oozes intelligence. Between the infernal Dzumhur who spends his time complaining and Fokina who can lose his cool for no reason, we could witness some paranormal stuff in this one. I like what Fokina has been showing since his return, the level is pretty decent but he’s totally lacking juice in his legs to last over time. Usually he plays one good match and then it’s too much. He lasted a bit longer in Hamburg against ADM in the second round, but it was quite cool there, and now we’re looking at 30 degrees, so if his fitness is still mediocre he’s definitely going to feel it.

That’s the number one angle in this matchup: Foki had pain in his shoulder/arm at the end of the match against ADM. He also finished with 63 unforced errors because he’s trying so hard to shorten the points and force things. It’s a dream spot for Dzumhur, who knows how to turn into a wall, but Dzumhur hasn’t been at his best for months now. He has a few nice little matches from time to time, but his level has dropped and he’s low on confidence. I do think he’s capable of hurting Fokina in this long format only if the match is competitive, but he could also completely fall apart for an hour and a half and watch Fokina win just in time before his intensity drops...
