That devil VDZ

No one here believes in a VDZ victory, so you know what that means..

This guy is capable of going out and winning this match; I absolutely don’t believe it, but with VDZ nothing is rational. He mentioned a left wrist injury to pull out of his match in Bordeaux, I don’t know if it was true or not since he retired after the rain interruption the next day, he’s exactly the kind of player who might just not play afterwards out of laziness. So I’m putting a question mark over his injury. Let’s assume he’ll be at 100%, and even then I still don’t really believe it… First because he took a real beating in his last match against Cerundolo, but also because his level is just a bit too up and down.

Cerundolo isn’t a model of consistency, but the Argentine rarely loses to guys who are worse than him. He played a really crappy match in Rome and wasn’t impressive in Hamburg, but that was against an excellent ADM who then reached the semis, so nothing too serious. Actually, at the time I thought Cerundolo seemed pretty detached from the match, he looked like he didn’t really care. He probably already had Roland in mind from a certain point on. In any case, you can trust him a bit more than VDZ, that’s for sure! A win for the Argentine is very likely, but how likely exactly?
