Ambush?
Nothing is certain right now with Karen Khachanov...
We all tell ourselves that the magic is going to work in a Grand Slam for the Russian, and I believe it. Not that he'll reach the final, but that he'll play at a good level again. I like the lively clay at Roland for him, I like the heat for him, and I like it when he plays ‘battle’ matches like against Shevchenko, Prizmic, and maybe Trungelliti. And I thought he was very solid against Gea. So overall I've got a pretty good feeling about him today.
As for Trungelliti, I don't like it when he has to play a big physical and mental battle, and I don't think I'm the only one. I don't care about his recent chokes. He's a punchy guy who can cause plenty of problems for a player like Karen, who can be too passive at times, but it would still be a real surprise if he managed to get past the Russian obstacle in hot conditions and a best-of-five format.
