Well, especially for De Jong, you’re going to tell me. Lucky loser, then a good match-up and tough conditions against Stan. And as if that weren’t enough, now he’s up against the qualifier and very young Federico Cina. I wasn’t very convinced by Cina’s level in qualifying. I find him too up and down. On Jesper’s side, he really gained confidence during the tournament, but with him it’s mostly a match-up story. He likes being in that attacking-counterpuncher role in slightly ‘sexy’ matches. And here, I think that’s exactly what we’ve got! And he mixes it up. Between serve-and-volley, drop shots, defense... I really think he can disrupt the pure game of young Cina, who might also be a bit stretched physically with all the emotional highs in a row and his limited experience in Grand Slams.
