Big Foe to keep his momentum going?

The American has one more match under his belt than his opponent today. Is that enough to turn the matchup around?

And yes, the American has decided to play aggressively this grass-court season. Against the Australian Hijikata, his intention to come to the net whenever he could was obvious. Why is he doing that? Because on grass it makes sense of course, but also to develop his game. He struggles, as we know, against players who take time away from him. To respond to this pattern, either you neutralize the power from the baseline, or you’re the first to attack. I’d really like to see how that works against Jiri because the Czech is powerful, and it’s therefore harder to be aggressive.

The American might be able to rely on his two wins already earned in the tournament, and play with more freedom now that he’s better dialed in. I’m counting on at least a good level on serve, and therefore on a tight match despite the match-up difficulties that await him.
