We discover young Toby, and it's promising!

After coming through qualies at Roland Garros, Toby Samuel has been impressive at Challenger level this year. Now he’s moving onto grass with good historical stats, but his matches in Ilkley seemed a bit “borderline.” I didn’t see them, but they were clearly not up to his usual level.

It’s a bit the opposite for Arthur Fery, who’s been playing some really tough guys in Birmingham, and beating quite a few of them! He’s a guy with great hands who can play really fast by taking the ball early. Right now, he’s performing at a higher level on grass. Small and quick, I wouldn’t be surprised if the match-up suited him against Toby’s aggressive tennis.
