Tough draw once again for Loïs

Loïs Boisson’s profile is crystal clear: she’s a clay-court player, 23 years old, right-handed, currently WTA No. 43 with a career-high of No. 34. Yastremska is in a completely different situation. Right-handed, 26 years old, WTA No. 45, she’s one of the best grass-court players on tour right now. Her WTA grass record over the last 52 weeks is 8–3 (72.7%), her best across all surfaces. In 2026, she beat Bejlek 6–1 6–2 in Hertogenbosch six days ago, and she lost to Tomljanovic in the second round 4–6 6–4 7–5 in three sets, so she already has some grass matches in her legs. She reached the Nottingham 2025 final, beating several solid players before losing to Kessler 6–4 7–5. She knows these courts, she knows how to operate here. In 2026 she also won Parma on clay against Krejčíková 6–3 6–3. The only dark spot: 8–14 overall in 2026, but her grass stats contradict that general trend.

H2H: only one meeting, Hamburg 2025 semifinal on clay. Boisson dominated 6–1 7–6(5). But that was on clay, Boisson’s favorite surface. On grass it’s the exact opposite.
