MarozsOUT ?
The Hungarian had his knee taped during his first-round win..
A pretty strange win in a crazy match against Kecmanovic, there were a bunch of twists and turns. Marozsan started strong, then his intensity dropped and he took that MTO for his knee. I honestly didn’t see any issue with his movement afterwards, he was bouncing around and pumping himself up, nothing to report in the moment but we’ll have to see once things cool down. His R1 was better than in Stuttgart, but the court was less slippery and punishing than the main one where he’s playing tomorrow. He’s a guy who’s afraid of getting hurt and already struggles to move the way he should, so if on top of that he’s worried about his knee…
The gap in level on grass is big, Fritz knows the surface well and he’s coming in with good form too. He just beat Bergs in a match that was far from straightforward and against a really dangerous player when he’s playing at that level. It really felt like a trap match for the American and he deserves credit for getting through it. I think this second round is much nicer for him. We’re not safe from a Marozsan on fire, but on grass that happens less often.
