Diallo on fire again?
Finally a match from the Canadian that I liked. He dominated an Atmane who is always hard to beat and could have won in two sets. The difference from the previous matches for me: more aggressive and more comfortable at the net. The Canadian was finally taking his chances when he chose to from the baseline, accelerating with his forehand or backhand, whereas I found him too passive in his previous matches.
Etcheverry is not at the top of his form. He had some good wins on grass last year but in Halle, where it’s fast. Here, it’s not the same. So he’ll have less of an advantage in the rallies, which for me will be well compensated by Diallo’s serve and attacking game.
