I'm wondering...
Convincing match from Diallo despite a clear lack of confidence or clutch factor in set 1, but he managed to maintain his level and it was Etche who dropped. As I said before, I’m happy he’s found his aggressiveness again. But there’s still some waste on the return and at the net. Not easy now that he has to face Draper with his crazy resilience from the baseline, and his very topspun lefty forehand that’s going to produce tricky passing shots for the Canadian and force him to hit a few more backhands.
On Draper’s side, he still doesn’t hold a good level for an entire match, but the foundations are there. Beating Pinnington in 2 sets is still solid in my opinion. The match-up is good for him here, I’m just afraid he won’t last physically with a lack of clutch in set 2, and it turns into a three-set battle...
