This time, it’s the right one! Or not...

Atmane has already given Tiafoe a hard time twice this year, but each time, it’s the American who ends up winning.

I remember both matches well, especially the last one, where Atmane would have deserved the win. Except Tiafoe managed to pull off an impressive victory at home. I don’t know if that’s really changed since then, but one thing’s for sure: Tiafoe is in form right now. He’s just won in Halle, playing at a splendid level. And we know what he can do in Grand Slams. If he already shows up in form and then raises his level even more, it’s promising.

There are still doubts about the quality of his return, especially before facing a player like Atmane who, on a good day, can be pretty “locked in” on serve.

The Frenchman is not yet at his best on grass, or rather, he still doesn’t manage to fully adapt to the surface, but I think he’s getting his matches done. His flat backhand works well, he knows how to make the opponent play and tighten things up when needed, and he still has that big serve and forehand that can help him in short rallies. Unfortunately, the current trend with Atmane is to play good matches and lose them.

In general, Tiafoe plays his best tennis in Grand Slams, and his current form is really scary. It’s tough to want to lay him here, and I don’t think that will be the bet to go for; on the other hand, a tight match is absolutely something you can try. If Tiafoe’s price is really too low, that will probably open the door to bets on the number of games or sets.
