So first of all, Ugo is clearly the favorite and that’s only natural. He’s had a tougher draw, and Zizou’s last match wasn’t great (see the summary on TM).

The two men have faced each other once, and that was also in a final in Marseille. Zizou may have learned his lesson, but for me the necessary change can’t happen just like that overnight.

We’ve got a super clutch Ugo in the big moments, and he knows how to play a final like few others (he’s got quite a ratio). Versus a Belgian who tightens up in moments that important. If Toby Samuel hadn’t choked when it came time to close out the match, Zizou wouldn’t be here. And that’s a tendency the Belgian has. That’s how it is. Then sometimes, he pulls out a purple match. When? When he has nothing to lose. See against Fritz a few days ago. With the quality of his game, he can do a lot of damage when he lets go and doesn’t tighten up. But how can you not get overwhelmed by emotions in a final? He’s a good underdog, that must help. But Ugo knows all that too. And Ugo just played a really good match to beat a Draper who was a bit too passive. Lots of unforced errors but that comes with his style. He’s going to grab Zizou by the throat and pin him on his backhand. I just don’t believe in Zizou…
