There’s a match!
I think each player is happy with this draw...
Brooks confirmed a good match-up against a Vukic who, on top of that, was physically hampered. The American gets through, doesn’t tire himself out, and gains a bit of confidence. He needs it at the moment.
On the other side, Buse was the player who handled his nerves the best against the inexperienced Nava on grass. The Peruvian doesn’t excel on this surface for now, but here and there he puts in some promising performances.
Why? Because I find him very emotionally mature for his age. And in terms of tennis, he has everything. He was a bit on the back foot against Nava, but I promise you that when the level rises, Nava plays at 20,000.
Against Brooksby, it’s a different match-up. I like the fact that Buse is already clutch. And I like his court intelligence, which is useful against the American fox. Physically, if it goes long, I prefer Buse as well. What I don’t like about the Peruvian is that he’s still a bit streaky, and that the American has the experience to fully exploit his hot patches.
