Mirror, oh beautiful mirror
Tell me who is the best baseliner?
Kwon is impressive. The typical Asian player. A perfect aggressive baseliner with almost robotic consistency.
Paul on the other side is really good too. I really liked his level at Queen's, and the surface suits him so well.
Here we have to decide between "Paul does everything a bit better in a similar style, so there’s no easy strategy for Kwon" and "the student is catching up with the master and can push him by playing a relaxed underdog kind of tennis." Because yes, I haven't forgotten that when you manage to withstand Paul, the American has lately had quite a few dips in intensity after one or two sets. And Kwon is an underrated player who, in my opinion, deserves a closer look.
