A golden opportunity for Rinder?
A bit “flat” in his R1, Arthur inherits a servebot for his R2. Tutur’s luck?
I think so, yes. Because Arthur hasn’t been in good shape for a few weeks. Sometimes you see him coming, but this time I didn’t feel/see the conditions for Arthur to pull out a big match in this tournament. He got through it pretty well against Tarvet who is certainly scrappy, but not very talented. Now he’s launched in the tournament and will have to win a clutch match. If things might be equal in that area, I still find the Frenchman better from the baseline. I even think that playing a lefty is a good thing. Arthur knows how to hold up on the backhand side until he gets a forehand to attack with. On the other hand, in terms of movement he’s no speedster, and a lefty can find good angles.
One loss in Bordeaux this year for Arthur, but Bordeaux plays pretty fast. Faster than the grass in London...
