A good opportunity for Rublev?

It's time to bounce back from a disappointing grass season...

In hindsight, his loss to Safiullin at Wimbledon does not look that bad! Anyway, time to play in a place where he has had some success before. While Rublev can be bothered a bit by the wind in Båstad, the conditions are nice for him... slower clay prevents him from getting rushed, and he can dictate with his forehand. I've found his level quite decent throughout most of the year. Pellegrino completely exposed Budkov Kjaer in his first round! The Norwegian does not really have the game to do well on clay against experienced players, not at the moment at least. He is not a great mover on clay, and while he has said his goal is to have a really heavy forehand that pushes opponents back, it's clearly not there yet. What I'm trying to say is that Pellegrino's scoreline looks impressive, but it was rather a case of an erratic opponent. I want to be a bit wary of a good Pellegrino; we have seen him have good tournaments once in a while, but I'm not getting that feeling from his first round. It will be Rublev's first match on clay since Wimbledon, and we need to be aware of this; it's completely different conditions. However, Rublev has played in Båstad recently, unlike Dimitrov, who was coming back after a lot of years! Quite frankly, I don't see a lot of ways to victory for Pellegrino here, unless he really ups his level or Rublev delivers a stinker...
