The Spaniard continues to impress, both solid, with few errors, and aggressive when needed, with a certain precision. Yesterday, Carabelli really had to dig deep, looking a bit sluggish. Anyway, we know the limits of his counter-punching game, and I think the Spaniard across the net really has the kind of game needed to win this match-up. We only have one reference match between the two players, and it was the Argentinian who won it in Rome last year. But they’re in quite different form today, and I genuinely think the Spaniard can go far in this tournament. He’s playing with really nice precision and a level that I think is underrated on clay. Of course, this is where the Argentinian will raise his level, since he won’t have any other choice and will give it everything. He’s the one who’ll be playing a bit more freely. Nonetheless, I don’t think it’ll be enough, and I’m wondering if the Spaniard’s ML isn’t worth investing in.
