Not a huge knowledge of Gaubas at the present moment, but I saw a very decent average level against De Jong in Bastad. And given his recent results, I tell myself that his game, as a fairly complete guy but without a major weapon (even if his forehand has already impressed us), is reaching its limits against good players and at that point there aren’t many tactical escape routes left.

On PCB’s side, people were saying he was potentially injured in Umag against Carabelli, but I personally didn’t see anything major. So I still think his combo of being a solid player + able to play aggressively and serve well makes him a good profile to break through the Gaubas wall.

Now, with the injury risk, the risk of slightly annoying wind, and the somewhat slow clay in Estoril, I don’t think it’s a good idea to put money on PCB at 1.4... He got caught out by a player with the same profile last week, even if Carabelli is of course a notch above when he’s physically in good shape.
