The big odds or nothing.

This kind of match at altitude doesn’t really lend itself to interesting bets, in my opinion. But we’re still going to break it all down.

Halys is an excellent server, capable of playing from the baseline, but it's not his primary strength. He mainly relies on his serve. Whether it was last week or during his first round, it was clear he was difficult to break. His matches are full of tiebreaks, and in Kitzbühel, we should expect more very close matches.

Vacherot is a similar case. The Monegasque player is perhaps a little more capable of creating attacking play from the back. He has a few more weapons or strings to his bow and possesses exceptional service quality, but he sometimes struggles to make an impact on the return.

In his return to competition last week, he made a good showing, winning one match and then battling hard with his opponents. He was already in good form, quite clinical, and he's only going to get better.

We have what looks to be a very tight match with two players who know how to manage their serve and protect themselves properly. I see few opportunities for either side, and in this kind of situation on high ground, you have to look at overplays, except the odds are insane in this type of match, which makes them uninteresting for me. That doesn't leave us much choice, given that Vacherot is the clear favorite. On one hand, I can understand that, but at 1.48, I'm definitely not going to bet on him. It's still the first round, he's still getting back into form, and Halys is finding his form again in conditions that suit him well.
