Well, Alex has some uncharacteristic losses in the grass season... Majchrzak, Nakashima, and Cobolli. It was a rather shocking straight-sets loss to Cobolli, and ADM's words were quite pessimistic, to say the least. He blames himself for playing too passively and also mentions that repeated failures against "top opponents" are starting to take a toll mentally and on his hopes of achieving his goals. Now, let's keep in mind that those were raw words straight out of a tough loss... he also got married shortly after ;) As Marcos mentioned in the Majchrzak - Tommy Paul preview, the guys who get married tend to come back quite strongly!

While Tsitsipas is not the "elite" player he used to be... he is someone who has had ADM's "number" for his entire career. It kind of makes sense, doesn't it? His forehand is simply a much bigger weapon than Alex's, and we saw just how impactful that was in ADM's match against Cobolli! Combine that with a strong serve and the ability to come to the net to finish points, and you have a rather clear path to victory, as their H2H would indicate! Actually, my main worry for Stefanos is honestly any physical concerns from his long and tough run in Gstaad! He has been able to rest up a bit since he skipped Kitzbuhel, but there was some indication of something going on with his foot, just something to keep in mind. Also, he has not been playing deep into tournaments regularly for quite a while now. Well, there is something for ADM also! He won the title here last year, playing an epic final against Fokina. Sure, we could always say that it is a good thing since he should be familiar with and enjoy the conditions. However, it is also additional pressure for him! Could it be at a bad time, not having a lot of confidence at the moment?
