Nothing crazy...

Norrie is a huge favorite and I understand why. He played very well in Los Cabos, and you can feel that he’s hungry. The Brit did kind of mess up the end of his clay season and his grass season because of a rib injury that wasn’t really treated properly. So I see him as very motivated and ready to go to battle now.

On the other side, Carabelli is coming off a really awful match in Estoril (I was courtside), probably made worse by some discomfort/injury around the hip. That’s the issue with him. He often has physical problems. He had been good in Umag though, and he could be good again here, who knows!

But on hard courts, the conditions don’t suit the Argentinian. No need to dive into a deep match-up analysis here, nor to explain how Carabelli’s clay-courter DNA clearly puts him at a disadvantage here and against Norrie. This is a match to skip as a bettor...
