Does Kopriva stand a chance against his countryman on a hardcourt?

Well, at least he already got through the first round. He was supposed to play a night session match against Galarneau, but due to the weather, it was moved into an early slot the next day. Then, we had a four-hour rain delay, combined with a few more stoppages in play. Now, this was surely not a good thing for the local Canadian player, and he was also, quite frankly, not able to deal with it at all. Due to the windy conditions, the match simply came down to who could toughen up and deal with it in the best way. Kopriva definitely did and was a deserved winner in straight sets.

Well, now a completely different test awaits! While I do want to give some credit to Vit for his win, it didn't really do a lot to change my opinion of him against a powerful player on a hardcourt. Like a lot of other seeds in Los Cabos, Lehecka headed for an early exit in the first round (against Wong), but I am not too worried about it. On paper, this matchup looks really rough for Kopriva. His serve is quite vulnerable, and he lacks a lot of power compared to Lehecka, to avoid getting constantly pushed back...
