I pretty much agree with my colleagues in the comments.

First, about Tommy Paul’s level. Hurkacz is really annoying to play, and I think Tommy has just played his most complete match since coming back from his wedding. That’s encouraging!

As for Vallejo, I saw his two matches, and it’s a bit like what ev123 (David) says: he’s both good AND his opponents really messed up. The guy is playing a fairly aggressive style while being super springy on his feet, and that gives him a pretty serious level. A level that, in my opinion, will be hard to sustain over an entire match. I was already seeing some dips in intensity in set 2 against Vacherot. After that, of course, he’s gained confidence, and he has absolutely nothing to lose. But Tommy Paul will, in my opinion, be able to neutralize his aggressiveness, by defending well and being aggressive himself.
