Yeah, Cobolli is sluggish. I find he runs out of breath a bit quickly after a good rally, he’s a bit inconsistent, and he lacks a bit of power to really make a difference from the baseline. Also, his serve quality, especially on the ad side, often allows him to get himself out of a few dicey situations. An advantage that’s fading a bit with Jodar’s return quality, in my opinion. Now he’s up against a guy who can put pressure on him like Hanfmann, and who also has Fritz’s solidity. Honestly, I just don’t see it… The only thing that can really save him here is his physicality. Grind, grind, and grind to wear the other guy down. But I don’t think he’s got the engine for that, and we’ll end up a bit in the same situation as Jodar against Fils last week.
