We’ve seen Navone being tricky and trapping against players who aren’t in top form and who depend on their serve, but much less good against baseliners who can also accelerate from the back of the court. In the end, I actually think we got a bit carried away about his level after his wins over Berrettini and Vacherot, because I don’t find him that impressive (maybe because I was expecting more from him). And now here he is up against a baseliner who can accelerate, but with a level just a notch below his recent conquerors. So, what now?

So, I think the Duck is going to fight like hell once again. This guy is still a solid bet when he’s in a good spell, in my opinion. We’re hardly ever surprised by his level in each match at the moment. He might get a bit bogged down in Navone’s endless loopy trajectories, but if he finds the sweet spot with patience and well-timed accelerations/forays to the net, I say why not!
