We have another battle of huge servers...
Lloyd Harris is definitely making his way back to the main tour. We've seen him play a ton of matches since August. And he has won a lot of them. Yes, it has been quite a few at the Challenger level, but I really like his level whenever I see him in ATP events. He's quite a tricky opponent to face... a really reliable and good serve, combined with high rally tolerance from the baseline. Big Server / Solid Baseliner playstyle tends to be effective when it comes to winning the matches you should win; it's "safe" against quite many other playstyles. Obviously, in these conditions, the serve is a huge weapon... he was more or less untouchable on serve in his first match against Kovacevic.
Vacherot really plays quite similarly... very reliable on his serve, extremely durable. He will have to defend his title in Shanghai soon (what an insane run that was, 9 wins and 6 x three-setters). 2026 has been a bit tough for him, which was kind of to be expected after getting catapulted so quickly into the main tour out of nowhere in 2025. I don't think he has quite found his best form yet, but it's not awful either. I will give Lloyd an advantage in current form, but in a matchup like this, it does feel like the margins are really small...
