I remember their match in Dubai. Jiri was tired from the previous tournament. And with Ugo, things can run away from you fast. Just look at the match against Nakashima. When he's in that mode, even excellent servers like Nakashima and Lehecka can get absolutely thrashed!

Because couldn’t there be, in that hammering in Dubai, a good match-up for our Frenchie?

Lehecka likes to dictate play with his structured tennis. He's not very creative, nor a great defender. He has no other choice, against Ugo, than to play his natural game as well as he can. And here, unfortunately for him, the match will be decided on Ugo’s racket in my opinion. Because Ugo will surely come in with the same strategy as against Nakashima I think: go straight for his opponent's throat right off the return. One of the rare guys who’s handled the pace Ugo has put on this season is Zizou.

Here, what I mainly fear is that Ugo’s day off might have broken his rhythm a bit. But Ugo made the final here two years ago, he likes this tournament, and he missed the US Open because of injury. I’m sure he’ll be highly motivated. Maybe even seeing Arthur Fils in the top 10 will smash a glass ceiling for him, who knows!
